Abstract:Background: Pain is often the first indication of disease or injury. Analgesics are the drugs used clinically for controlling pain. They relieve pain as a symptom, without affecting its cause. Currently available options are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and opioid analgesics for the management of pain.
