Abstract: SummaryGenome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 screens have untangled regulatory networks and revealed the genetic underpinnings of diverse biological processes. Their success relies on experimental designs that interrogate specific molecular phenotypes and distinguish key regulators from background effects.
