This study inspected the association of company performance with the choice of IPO of the firm's registered on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. In particular, two dimensions of performance, Return on Sales and Return on Asset as operating and Tobbin Q as Market performance as dependent variables, Bank debts, Capital Expenditure, Ownership Concentration, Sales Growth and Firm Size as independent variables along with the age of the firm as control variable have been used. Sample of 40 Pakistani IPOstaken for the period of 2005-2016. OLS inferences confirmed that the performance of both pre-IPO and Post-IPO show an influential association with the independent variables. This study provided a path to smaller firms that are in the process to go public. Whereas glimpses for the investors also provided who want to add profitable securities to their portfolio bucket.

ÖZ İşletmelerin faaliyetlerini devam ettirebilmeleri ve finansal yapılarını güçlendirebilmeleri için alternatif yöntemlere başvurdukları bilinmektedir. Bu yöntemler arasında halka arz yoluyla finansman sağlama ise işletmelerin sıklıkla başvurdukları bir yöntemdir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, işletmelerin halka arzı ile finansal performansları arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada 2010-2018 yılları arasında halka arz edilen ve Borsa İstanbul’da işlem gören, finansal verilerine kesintisiz olarak ulaşılabilen 62 işletme üzerinde araştırma yapılmıştır. Çalışmada karlılık oranları, mali yapı oranları, likidite oranları, büyüme oranları ve faaliyet oranları olmak üzere 5 ana finansal oran kullanılmıştır. İşletmelerin finansal oranlarına ait dönemler halka açılma öncesi dönem, halka açılma dönemi ve halka açıldıktan sonraki dönem olmak üzere üç döneme ayrılmıştır. Dönemler arasındaki farklılıkları incelemek için finansal oranların normal dağılım sergileyip sergilememe durumlarına göre hem parametrik hem de parametrik olmayan testlerden faydalanılmıştır. Hipotezlerin sınanmasında, normal dağılım sergileyen oranlarda Eşleştirilmiş Örneklem T Testi, normal dağılmayan oranlarda ise Wilcoxon Signed-Rank testleri kullanılmıştır. Testlerden elde edilen bulgulara göre; likidite, karlılık ve mali yapı oranlarında halka açılma öncesi ve halka açılma sonrası dönemde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu görülmüştür
