Practical Design of Fractional-Order Oscillator Employing Simple Resonator and Negative Resistor

Abstract: This contribution presents straightforward design of a fractional-order oscillator employing novel simple impedance inverter (implementing differential voltage current conveyor transconductance amplifier as active element) used for construction of parallel LC resonator and requiring also negative resistor. Design supposing two output waveforms with constant amplitude ratio and phase shift 155 degrees (-25 degrees) supposes two identical constant phase elements (fractional-order capacitors). The key advantages … Show more

“…The magnitude and phase traces of approximated fractional-order part H(s) [23], used in the following verification, represent this setting of ideal model (2): A = 100, τ1 = 7 s,  = 0.25 that fits the behavior of modified CPE in studied bandwidth inspired by [23]. Note that there is significant difference between approximated and ideal case at low frequencies due to limited validity of approximation for these frequencies.…”

“…This type of equation is not very suitable for direct hand calculations [1], [2]. Nevertheless, recent years brought many interesting concepts of fractional-order oscillators that were studied in [1]- [15]. Table 1 provides their brief overview.…”
