Practical Autonomous Cyberhealth for resilient Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

Abstract: The EU-funded PALANTIR project proposes a cybersecurity framework combining privacy assurance, data protection, incident detection and recovery aspects under the same platform. The project main focus is on cyber-resilience of SMEs and compliance with the relevant data privacy and protection regulations. The outcomes of the project will be validated in diverse application areas (eHealth, eCommerce, 5G-MEC) and will provide enterprises with security tools that will boost their resilience at a reasonable cost to … Show more

“…Other proposed solutions address secure handover (e.g., for heterogeneous IoT networks [153]), enabling devices to join domains with trust (e.g., using authentication frameworks [88,154,155] and protocols [156]). Some studies concern the proposal of improved authentication/authorization [157][158][159][160][161], architectures [162][163][164][165][166][167], lightweight security [168][169][170][171][172], security schemes (models or protocols) [58,62,[173][174][175], security platforms (or systems) [176][177][178][179][180], algorithms (or methods) [181][182][183][184][185], SDN/NFV-based core NS [186], anomaly/threat detection [118,[187][188][189][190], controlling NS access/use [191], ensuring NS isolation [192], ensuring intra-slice security…”

“…PALANTIR aims to bridge the cybersecurity gap between large enterprises and SMEs/MEs by providing a multi-layered, infrastructure-wide threat monitoring platform offering cyberresiliency and knowledge sharing in a heterogeneous ecosystem. At the same time, these security services are marketed to third parties in the form of SecaaS [3]. The PALAN-TIR framework implements a coherent privacy assurance, data protection, incident detection and recovery framework, focusing on highly dynamic service-oriented systems and networks; taking advantage of their inherent programmability features and abstractions.…”

“…The provided demonstration is based on the PALANTIR architecture [3]. Some of the investigated techniques for the storylines are described in previous works on e.g., anomaly detection [6] [7] and botnet detection [8] [9]; where the techniques from the latter are currently in use along with a refined dataset.…”
