Abstract:Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia, which is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular death. The latter is partly due to the common combination with coronary artery disease (CAD). If indicated, patients with AF need continuous direct oral anticoagulant therapy to prevent thromboembolic events.
