Abstract: Background The use of intracameral cefuroxime is becoming more widely accepted for endophthalmitis prophylaxis (EP) after cataract surgery. Recently, the European Medicines Agency approved a single, sterile, unit dose of intracameral cefuroxime in a few countries of Europe.
