Power minimization with derivative constraints for high dynamic GPS interference suppression

Abstract: In this paper, a novel adaptive interference suppression algorithm is proposed for high dynamic GPS (global positioning system) receiver. The new method incorporates derivative constraints on the interference DOA (direction of arrival) into power minimization approach, which could broaden the width of nulls in the interferences directions and adapt to the rapid change of the interference directions. Compared with the traditional wide nulling algorithm based on the derivative constraints, the new method does no… Show more

“…The distance between GPS satellite and the receiver is far more than the one between the interference equipment and the receiver, so which is equivalent to the situation that the GPS receiver is in a stationary state but the interference is moving in a very high speed in high dynamic environment [10]. Therefore, considering an M-element antenna arrays, when the interferences impinge on the array, the received signals can be modeled as 1 1 .…”

“…For the blind adaptive beamforming algorithm based on period repetitive property, the samples in at least two code periods are needed to utilise the period repetitive property. There are also some interference suppression algorithms which are proposed to suppress wideband interferences [6] or high-dynamic interferences [7].…”
