Power conversion system for low power high altitude wind power generating system

Abstract: In high altitude wind power (HAWP) generating system, medium voltage AC (MV-AC) permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is used. The generated electrical power is transmitted to ground without any power conditioning in the air-borne unit. The ground based power conversion system (PCS) interfaces variable voltage and variable frequency medium voltage power into distribution level grid voltage. The proposed PCS consists of a three-level vienna rectifier for generation side control, a half bridge DC-DC conv… Show more

“…Similarly, direct torque control (DTC) and direct power control (DPC) techniques are widely used in WECS to track the maximum power based on different control algorithms [10][11][12][13]. The high altitude wind energy conversion is an advancement in the WECS over traditional wind turbine systems with reduced installation investment for small-scale [14,15] power plants.…”

“…With the development of chaos theory, there are many control and analysis methods in chaotic system (Kuo et al, 2015;Ma et al, 2014). There are linear and nonlinear generalized synchronization (Ma et al, 2015), generalized synchronization (Li et al, 2014), projective synchronization (Wang and Meng, 2014) and the backstepping nonlinear control, chaotic control of the coupled Logistic map, three methods of antisynchronization of hyperchaotic chen system , hybrid control (Elmas and Ustun, 2015) and passivity control (Qi et al, 2015;Harb, 2014;Solsona, 2014;Yahyazadeh et al, 2014), and other control methods (Wu et al, 2013;Feeny and Moon, 2014;Adhikari et al, 2015).…”
