Abstract: Ein Biomarker (biologischer Marker) ist definiert als ein charakteristisches Merkmal, das nach der Validierung, der objektiven Messung normaler biologischer und pathogenetischer Prozesse oder der pharmakologischen Ansprechbarkeit auf eine therapeutische Intervention dient.
