Potentiation of tissue culture rabies vaccine by adjuvants.

Abstract: The results presented in the following paper indicate that a tissue culture rabies vaccine prepared according to specified criteria and potentiated by aluminum adjuvants proved effective in animals challenged with street rabies virus. The authors believe this merits immunization trials in man.

“…(i) The CVS strain of fixed rabies virus, diluted to contain 100 to 200 mouse LD50 per 0.03 ml, was mixed with equal amounts of either interferon pool B or with serum from uninoculated rabbits (control).
