Abstract:Obesity and metabolic syndrome affect the majority of the US population. Patients with obesity are at increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes (T2DM), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), each of which carry the risk of further complications if left untreated and lead to adverse outcomes.
