Even though the ecological transition is considered the next big challenge for Africa, few studies have examined its scope regardless of the massive financing that is required and the stakes on other sectors. This study analyzes the links between financial development, ecological transition, and economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa from 1980 to 2019. The Dumitrescu and Hurlin causality tests, Pedroni and Westerlund cointegration, and the Augmented Mean Group algorithm are applied on a sample of forty-eight countries. The findings support that institutional quality and human capital are crucial, but their effects can only be observed in high-income and upper middle-income countries. The level of economic development matters, and there is a threshold beyond which the effects of renewable energies and human capital occur on the performance of the financial system. Trade openness and investments seem also to be positive and significant on ecological transition only in these countries. Furthermore, there is substitutability between non-renewable and renewable energy consumption in these countries, while in lower middle-income and low-income countries, there is complementarity. The study concludes by highlighting key policy recommendations to sustain ecological transition.

Masyarakat di Kabupaten Cilacap khususnya warga masyarakat Kecamatan Maos umumnya bekerja di bidang pertanian. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan dari Badan Pusat Statistika tahun 2019, sebanyak 6.494 jiwa penduduk kecamatan maos bekerja sebagai buruh tani. Permasalahan yang dihadapi di musim kemarau sangat mengganggu kegiatan masyarakat Desa Maos. Permasalahan yang timbul seperti kekurangan air untuk pertanian; masyarakat susah dalam mencari sumber air; dan perekonomian masyarakat terganggu. Solusi pada permasalahan ini adalah adanya pembuatan dan penerapan pompa air terintegrasi photovoltaic untuk pertanian yang diharapakan mampu meredakan bahkan menghilangkan akar permasalahan yang sedang dialami masyarakat Kecamatan Maos. Target dari kegiatan ini adalah terciptanya suatu pompa yang mampu mengalirkan air dari sumber air dengan pemanfaatan energi dari Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) yang ramah lingkungan dan terciptanya kemandirian energi desa berbasis Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT). Hasil yang dicapai pada kegiatan ini adalah terciptanya desa mandiri energi; semakin berkembangnya hasil panen dari pertanian masyarakat Kecamatan Maos walaupun dimusim kemarau; dan dapat meningkatkan perekenomian masyarakat Kecamatan Maos.

The aim of the study is to determine the priorities of the leading sub-sector in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries on economic development in The Province of Bangka Belitung Island. The descriptive-analytical method is used to describe and explain the dynamical performance of each sub-sector. The sub-sector performance is represented by GRDP of Bangka Belitung Province and GDP of Indonesia based on constant prices in 2010 for the 2010-2020 periods. Analysis of Klassen Typology, Location Quotient (LQ), and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) are conducted to determine the sub-sector and its position among other sub-sectors. The analysis results show that the plantation crop is a leading sub-sector priority for the economic development in the Bangka Belitung Province.
