Potential of combination of DCE-MRI and DWI with serum CA125 and CA199 in evaluating effectiveness of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer

Abstract: Background To determine the potential of the combination of DCE-MRI imaging method with DWI and serum CA125 and CA199 levels in the evaluation of the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. Methods Sixty-five breast cancer patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy in our hospital from April 2016 to April 2017 were selected as research subjects. The patients received 4 courses of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Lesions were mo… Show more

“…In recent years, the incidence of ovarian cancer has shown a gradually increasing trend [ 2 ]. Due to the lack of early symptoms of ovarian cancer and the lack of early screening and diagnosis, the survival rate of patients has been less than 30% [ 3 ]. However, if detected at early stage and given standard surgery and adjuvant therapy, the 5-year survival rate of ovarian cancer can be as high as 90% [ 4 ].…”

“…MR difusion-weighted imaging is a noninvasive functional examination method that can refect the difusion of water molecules in tissues. Since the difusion of water molecules is afected by the microstructure of cells, it can be used in disease diagnosis and therapeutic efcacy monitoring [15]. MR difusion-weighted imaging and changes in the ADC value can be used to evaluate the dynamic evaluation of the treatment efect of malignant tumors.…”

“…[2] <30% of patients survive because there are no early signs of OC or early screening or diagnosis. [26] Given the low prognosis of this cancer, it is necessary to improve the survival rates of patients by using methods to accurately predict the risk factors that affect the severity of cancer and early diagnosis. CA125 was first described in the early 1980s.…”
