Abstract:The surface roughness of orthodontic archwires is an essential factor that deter- mines the effectiveness of arch-guided tooth movement. CuNiTi-based wires are widely used in orthodontic treatment, but the oral environment can trigger corrosion of CuNiTi orthodontic wires.
