Abstract:Post-harvest losses of stored Phaseolus vulgaris to the bean weevil Callosobruchus chinensis have reached levels of significant concern. Governments and health organisations propose the discovery of reliable, healthy and biodegradable pesticides with higher selectivity and a broad spectrum.
