Postoperative Hypoparathyroidism: Prognosis, Prevention, and Treatment (Review)

Abstract: This review summarizes the results of studies concerning the problem of post-surgical hypoparathyroidism, a common complication of thyroid gland surgery, decreasing the quality of life in patients and, in some cases, leading to disability.
