Postmodern Toplumsal Metin ve Din: Gölgesizler Örneği

Abstract

In the postmodern world, which the constants are scattered, metanarratives are interrogated anew, the forms of values change and loses their meanings. The religious phenomena are also under the threat of this postmodern matrix based on the loss of reality, nothing, hybridization, and relativity. The aim of this study is to scrutiny the appearance of religion in the postmodern world through the postmodern social text. In this study, first of all postmodernity will be described, then the forms of religious phenomena in postmodern world will be explained and the peculiarity of postmodern text will be explored. Lastly, deconstruction of religious values in the normlessness atmosphere of postmodernity will be demonstrated through a novel; Gölgesizler. As a research object the unfolded text will be analyzed in the discipline of Sociology of Religion not in the literary characteristics of the text.
