“…The White Sea is a unique geodynamic structure: its northwestern shores are located on the Fennoscandian Shield and during the Holocene, they have undergone and continue to undergo a significant, predominantly isostatic uplift. In contrast, the southeastern coast, located on the Russian Plate, has remained relatively stable throughout the Holocene (Koshechkin, 1979).
