“…In nine of their cases the intracranial extension of the sinus was in the posterior fossa, and in the other case there was an infected dermoid cyst in the frontal fossa. Logue and Till (1952) reviewed the literature and found 25 cases of posterior fossa dermoid cysts to which they added a further seven cases. Of these 32 cases, 22 had no dermal sinus or only an incom- plete sinus.…”

Logue and Till [15] classified posterior fossa dermoid cysts into four groups depending on whether they were extradural or intradural and on the degree of development of the dermal sinus. Dermoid cysts give rise to symptoms related to compression, infection, hydrocephalus or a combination of all this symptomatology usually in young children [4] as in our two observations.…”
