Poster 148 Severe Hair Loss during Inpatient Rehabilitation due to Telogen Effluvium: A Case Report

Abstract

Results or Clinical Course: There was a high degree of agreement between EFP and KIN net hip moments (r 2 ¼ 0.91). This correlation is significant at the 0.01 level (2-tailed). Conclusions: The KIN and EFP moment curves were highly correlated, and were generally offset by only a small amount (EFP moment was biased towards extension). Hip joint moments were associated with active muscle contraction during swing, loading, and early single support. Passive, non-contractile elements provided the principle restraining forces (moments) during late single support and pre-swing. There were substantial timing and force differences between muscles that comprise synergistic groups, which highlight the importance of assessing the function of individual muscles and their unique contributions to both normal and pathologic movement. The results illustrate that the EFP model is appropriate for predicting in vivo gait muscle forces.
