Post COVID-19 rhinocerebral mucormycosis presenting with stroke

Abstract: ResultsMRI revealed orbital soft tissue thickening, inflammation of ethmoid, maxillary and sphenoid sinuses with extension of abnormal soft tissue till left superior orbital fissure. Nasal endoscopic biopsy confirmed mucormycosis. Patient was successfully managed with liposomal amphotericin B and surgical debridement. ConclusionsRhino-orbital-cerebral mucormycosis is an important recent complication of COVID-19 infection which can manifest with unusual presentations like isolated lateral rectus palsy.
