Positron annihilation studies of methylammonium lead bromide perovskite

Abstract: Methylammonium lead halide-based perovskite has shown excellent optoelectronic properties. But their performances and stability are critically affected by the ionic defects present in the crystal lattice. In this article, we have investigated the presence of ionic vacancy mediated defects formation in ball mill ground methylammonium lead bromide (MAPbBr3) which has applications in tandem solar cell, light emitting diodes and laser devices. The evaluation of those point defects with temperature was analysed by … Show more

“…The presence of Pb V in MAPbI 3 based perovskites has been experimentally identified using positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy. 36,37 Previous studies have indicated that Pb V can change localization of photoexcited electron and hole states, thereby suppressing radiative and nonradiative electron-hole recombination processes in MHPs. 38,[39][40][41] Understanding the extent to which HC cooling dynamics can be manipulated by Pb V is urgently needed, underscoring the importance of further in-depth theoretical investigations.…”
