Abstract: BackgroundFalls represent a major health problem for older adults and often lead to disability and mortality. Each year 30% to 50% of community-dwelling older adults report a fall and almost 75% of falls occur in bedrooms or bathrooms, and 41% of all falls occur during transfers [1,2].
