Porous organic framework membranes based on interface-induced polymerisation: design, synthesis and applications

Lin Liu,
Ruihe Yu,
Liying Yin
et al.

Abstract: Interfacial polymerisation has become an important method for the preparation of porous organic framework (POF) membranes. We summarise the strategies and applications in forming POF membranes induced by different interfaces.

“…Both porous and nonporous nanofillers have been applied as nanofillers in MMMs, with porous nanofillers including metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), porous organic frameworks (POFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), and zeolites while nonporous nanofillers including fumed silica, graphene oxide, and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) . Zeolites, with more than 80 years of development and over 260 nature and synthetic crystal structures, have been intensively studied and applied in many separation applications …”
