Porous Chitosan-silica-polyethylene Glycol Membrane for Dynamic Adsorption of Binary Mixtures Cu(II) and Zn(II) Ions

Abstract: Abstract-The adsorption of binary mixtures of Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions was studied using dynamic methods employing chitosan-silica-polyethylene glycol (Ch/Si/P) as adsorptive membrane. Ch/Si/P membrane was synthesized by blending rice hull ash (RHA) silica and polyethylene glycol into chitosan.
