Abstract:SUMMARYAntigen-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) kill targets through rapid release of perforin/granzymes into the lytic synapse. Lethal hit delivery activates programmed cell death in the target, which is classically considered apoptotic, caspase-mediated, and granzyme-dependent.
