Cultural landscape heritage of Ukraine -conceptualisation, structuring and atlas mappingThis study aims to develop conceptual and methodological approaches to the consideration of the cultural landscape heritage of Ukraine as a subject area of scientific research and its thematic electronic atlas mapping. The creation of an atlas "Ukraine. Cultural Landscape Heritage" will be a priority measure that will accelerate the rate at which the cultural landscape approach can be put into practice and disseminated nationally. The study is based on: analysis and synthesis of the fundamental documents on the implementation of the concept of cultural landscape in international law for the purposes of protection of both cultural and natural heritage; study and analysis of the practical experience of individual European countries in applying the concept of cultural landscape in the context of its identification, typology, cartographic visualization and promotion as cultural and natural heritage; analysis of the current state of legislative, regulatory, methodological support and practical results in ensuring the protection and use of cultural landscapes of Ukraine and conceptualization and processing of the definitions of "cultural landscape" and "cultural landscape heritage" in the context of preservation of cultural and natural heritage.

GeoInformation (GI) Systems (GIS) and GI Technologies (GIT, together GIST) have been used for almost half a century, since the creation of Canada's first GIS in the 60s of the last century, to solve territory management problems. Over the past years, GISTs have reached their maturity, but still continue to develop, covering ever wider areas of use. Even the science of geoinformatics has emerged, in which GIST is used mainly as a toolkit or technology. As an example, geoinformatics in the same Canada is called geomatics and is a technology and/or technological science. At the same time, the expansion of the field of GIST use poses to researchers the question of methods and methodology. They are followed by issues of methods and methodology of geoinformatics not only as a technology, but also as a science. Moreover, these issues become more complicated with the expansion of the field of use. In the information industry, together with the field of use, the term "domain" or "context" is used. Thus, modern GIST usage manipulate a large number of interrelated terms and concepts that are often not clearly defined. The work is devoted to the classification of the main ones, which are influenced by the strategy selected. Spatial models of territory are used in the work. They are used in the study of both territorial systems of reality and individual spatial entities and phenomena of reality. Among spatial models, the main attention is paid to information spatial models, the most famous of which are GeoInformation Systems (GIS). GIS are inseparable from GIS tools - GeoInformation Technologies (GIT). The main results of the article were obtained using the so-called method of Conceptual Frameworks (CoFr) of Spatial Information Systems (SpIS). The CoFr method is applied to a special class of GIS - Atlas Geo-Information Systems (AGIS) of large territories (LT). The AGIS class includes Electronic Atlases (EA), Atlas Information Systems (AtIS), Cartographic Information Systems (CIS) and, in fact, GIS, if we are talking about LT. AGIS-LT is a hierarchical echeloned SpIS, for which the main terms and concepts of the article are applicable. These are such terms and concepts as "strategy" and "methodology" of GIS usage. GIS, in turn, use GIT, which are also classified using CoFr SpIS.

The article considers the main methodological approaches to the thematic study of natural and cultural heritage (NCH) and the results of their implementation in the electronic atlas "Population of Ukraine and its natural and cultural heritage". The structure and content of the two thematic blocks of the Atlas in the composition of 37 maps is built in such a way as to cover all the variety of definitions that characterize the spheres of nature and culture heritage in Ukraine. Based on the developed methodological approaches, for the first time in Ukraine, cultural and landscape zoning of the country's territory at the macro level was performed, in the taxonomic system of which 14 cultural and landscape regions and 52 cultural and landscape macroregions were identified. For the purposes of mapping natural heritage, a no official definition of this term has been developed, the typology of objects has been determined, a database of existing and promising objects and territories with their coordinate reference has been formed, and several relevant maps have been created. The problem of a huge number of potential objects of cultural heritage mapping (over 100 thousand) in the process of forming the data base was solved by not considering necropolis historical monuments, most commemorative plaques, and some minor buildings in the complexes of monuments and by reflection, mainly monuments of national (partially, local) significance. The Atlas has significantly expanded the composition of functional categories of cultural heritage by integrating a wide range of cultural and natural, tangible and intangible, movable and immovable heritage by separate research areas. The result of this work are maps of ethnocultural, religious, scientific, and technical heritage. These are the first in Ukraine specialized maps of similar topics and scope, which constitute the scientific novelty of the Atlas, allow to significantly expand the subject field of research NCH, and can contribute to the introduction into scientific practice of new categories of heritage. For the first time in Ukraine, based on collected, systematized, thorough and comprehensive information, a holistic picture of the country's NCH is shown.
