“…In addition, polyphyllin VII significantly inhibited the migration and invasion of CTC-TJH-01 and H1975 cells in vitro and significantly downregulated the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 proteins in CTC-TJH-01 and H1975 cells. These observations are consistent with previous studies demonstrating the inhibitory effect of polyphyllin VII on the migration of HCT116 and HepG2 cells in vitro 12 , 13 .…”

“…Polyphyllin VII, a steroidal saponin derived from Paris polyphylla Sm., possesses potent anticancer activity against various human cancer cell lines 13 , 14 . Previous studies have reported the inhibitory effects of polyphyllin VII on the proliferation and apoptosis induction of different types of cancer cells, including human lung cancer cells (A549 and NCI-H1299 cells), human oral cancer cells (SAS and OECM-1 cells), human liver cancer cells (HepG2 cells), human nasopharyngeal cancer cells (HONE-1 and NPC-039 cells) and human colorectal cancer cells (HCT-116 and HT-29 cells) 12 - 14 , 25 , 26 . In our study, we utilized our own established human lung cancer cell line CTC-TJH-01, which possesses metastatic capabilities, as well as the commercial lung cancer cell line H1975, to investigate the anticancer efficacy of polyphyllin VII.…”

“…The PI3K-AKT signaling pathway and adaptive immune response pathway were activated in low-risk patients. It is known that the abnormal regulation of the cell cycle and DNA replication played a crucial role in promoting tumor growth ( Song et al, 2021 ). The previous study showed that constitutive activation of NF-κB was characteristic of most ABC subtypes of DLBCL, and the activation of the NF-κB pathway may be one of the mechanisms resulting in drug resistance of relapsed/refractory DLBCL ( Turturro, 2015 ).…”

“…It exerts anticancer activities by the suppression of proliferation, cell cycle arrest, and modulation of drugs (He et al, 2016; Lin et al, 2015; Zhang, Jia, Bao, et al, 2016; Zhang, Jia, Wang, et al, 2016). It has been demonstrated that polyphyllin VII showed a potent effect on colorectal cancer (Song et al, 2021), multiple myeloma (Wang et al, 2022), ovarian cancer (Zhao et al, 2021), oral cancer (Hsieh et al, 2016), hepatoblastoma cancer, and lung cancer cells (Chen et al, 2016). Besides the anticancer effect, polyphyllin VII has been found to have anti‐inflammatory activity (Zhang et al, 2019).…”
