“…Corticosteroids are reported as the most prescribed drugs for this disease, corroborating the Pona et al [32] study. Psoriasis is the second most dermatosis prevalent, the most frequent lesions being desquamative papules/plaques; Corticosteroids are also the most prescribed drugs for psoriasis treatment, which is in accordance with Dolz-Pérez and colleagues [33] study. In this study, seborrheic dermatitis and acne were identified, respectively, as the third and fourth most common dermatoses in Portugal.…”

“…While this may seem unexpected, this finding agrees well with findings for similar systems. [ 38 ] At pH 7.4 and 5.5, we observed 3% and 2.5% of diDHA release from PGA–diDHA 2.2 and 5% and 4.5% release of diDHA from PGA–diDHA 6.4 at 72 h, respectively. In the case of PGA–diDHA 2.2 at pH 7.4 and 5.5, we observed the sustained release of diDHA over the first 24 h of incubation after an initial “burst” diDHA release, which was then followed by increased release up to 72 h. This plateau may be explained by size, presence of distinct species (aggregates) in solution, or modulated drug exposure.…”

“…There has been much interest in the polymeric conjugates, particularly natural polymer-based ones, in the recent years 70 . AmB conjugates have been prepared with proteins or polysaccharides to reduce AmB toxicity by attenuating its aggregation state and providing some additional properties as improved penetration through membranes and macrophage uptake.…”
