“…Among them, the octamolybdate [Mo 8 O 26 ] 4– polyoxoanion has been widely investigated due to its significance in various applications, and several isomeric forms of this polyoxoanion have been prepared to date, including the α-, β-, and γ- isomers, etc. The difference among them depends on the different numbers of [MoO 4 ], [MoO 5 ], and [MoO 6 ] units, as well as the connection modes among the O atoms. Notably, as a derivative of [Mo 8 O 26 ] 4– , the cluster [Mo 8 O 28 ] 8– has been reported.
