Polynomial chaos approach for tuned bladed rotors with geometric modification

Abstract: The paper presents a polynomial chaos approach for direct appoximation of cyclic modes of a tuned bladed rotor with all blades having the same randomly modified geometry. In order to validate this approach, accuracy of the approximation is evaluated for a simple rotor and is compared with other approximation methods, where eigenfrequencies and eigenvectors are obtained using polynomial approximation of structural matrices. The results show the good accuracy of the polynomial chaos approach.
