Abstract: This study exploits the polymorphism and multi-component crystal formation of γ-amino butanoic acid (GABA) and its pharmaceutically active derivative, gabapentin. Two polymorphs of GABA and both polymorphs of gabapentin are structurally revisited, together with gabapentin monohydrate.
