Polymerization of 1‐(2‐Propynyl)‐3‐methylimidazolium Bromide using Cyclometalated Pd(II) Catalysts and Study of the Interaction of Ensuing Oligomer with BSA

Abstract: Two novel cyclometalated binuclear chloro‐bridged palladium based catalysts, {(PdClL1)2} (1) and {(PdClL2)2} (2) have been synthesized by reacting PdCl2 with 4‐nitro‐(benzylidene‐(4‐tert‐butyl‐phenyl)‐amine (L1) and 4‐methylester‐(benzylidene‐(4‐tert‐butyl‐phenyl)‐amine (L2), respectively. These have been characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic studies (IR, 1H, 13C NMR, ESI‐MS), and their structures have been authenticated by X‐ray single crystal analyses. Polymerization of ionic liquid monomer usin… Show more

“…It is clearly seen that there has been little effect on the peak intensity of 208 nm and 222 nm at lower content of GND (0.60 μ g), while with increasing content of GND (2.40–21.60 μ g range) it decreases gradually. After analysing the CD data using online deconvolution server K2D3 web interface, the quantitative analysis results of the secondary structure of each set have been listed in Table S1 (supporting information). The percentage of α helicity decreases from 63.62% at 0 μ g of GND to 43.94% at 21.60 μ g of GND while the corresponding β ‐sheet content increases from 9.48% to 12.56%.…”

“…Since the invention of poly(acetylene), organic conductors have gained much interest due to their wide and attractive applications in sensors, optoelectronic devices, molecular wires, electromagnetic shielding, stealthy technology, and so forth. [1][2][3][4][5][6] Kim and his colleagues describe the preparation, structure, morphology, and chiroptical properties of poly(diphenylacetylene)based conjugated polymer nanoparticles. 7 They suggest that the chiral solvent annealing and subsequent nanoprecipitation should be a very useful method for the preparation of highly porous, optically active nanoparticles.…”
