“…The glycol chains in B21C7 can form hydrogen bonds with water molecules at low temperature, while supramolecular interactions are destroyed when the temperature exceeds the critical point. It has been used in some small molecules and polymeric structures to investigate thermoresponsiveness . Thus, in this work B21C7 units were chosen as the thermosensitive cores.…”

“…[ 25 ] It speculates that the hydration on the PAB polymer would be damaged upon heating, which makes the whole polymer hydrophobic and insoluble in the water. [ 26 ] Unexpectedly, the temperature‐dependent turbidity curve shows that the LCST of PAB polymers has a negative shift with increasing the content of hydrophilic acrylic acid. The PAB polymers with high content of benzo‐18‐crown‐6‐acrylamide groups are considered to cause significant steric hindrance impeding the polymer shrinking.…”

“…Importantly, the formation of supramolecular polymers can overcome issues related to the preparation of traditional polymers, since the latter methods tend to require an auxiliary initiator, high temperatures, and long reaction times. Furthermore, the introduction of host-guest interactions can also endow the constructed supramolecular polymers with dynamic and reversible properties (Dong et al, 2012 ; Yan et al, 2014 ; Zhan et al, 2014a , b ; Huang et al, 2018 ; Wang et al, 2020 ). For example, Dong and co-workers made a supramolecular polymer network with dynamic reversibility, good malleability, and processability that depended on the formation of host-guest interactions between crown ethers and ammonium motifs of H2G2-type monomer (Wang et al, 2020 ).…”
