Abstract:A unidirectional
nanotexture alters the wettability of a substrate
and can be used to create patterned polymer films, tailored polymer
coverage/reflow, or aligned polymer molecules. However, the physical
mechanisms underlying polymer spreading on nanoscale textures are
not well-understood, and competing theories exist to explain how texture
peaks and grooves alter the wettability of a substrate. We use molecular
dynamics to simulate polymer spreading on substrates with unidirectional
nanoscale textures as a fu… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
