“…The photovoltaic properties have been influenced by molecular interaction and molecular ordering in crystalline microstructure after annealing in the range from glass transition temperature to liquid-crystal transition. Crystallographic analysis and morphological observation in phase separation confirmed molecular ordering of bithiophene-fluorene copolymer and fullerene varied with mole ratio of segment after annealing [11,12]. Control of morphological microstructure at crystal state in the organic solar cells is important for tuning in optimizing exciton diffusion, charge separation and electron (hole) transfer to cathode (anode).…”

“…The photovoltaic behavior at solid phase below the glass transition temperature would be generated by light-induced charge separation and charge transfer between C 60 and F8T2 in the active bilayer. As reference, the hole mobility of F8T2 was reported to be 2.3 × 10 À5 cm 2 V À1 s À1 , 1.7 × 10 À5 cm 2 V À1 s À1 and 1.4 × 10 À5 cm 2 V À1 s À1 with and without annealing at 150°C and 280°C [12]. The photovoltaic behavior at thermal condition near the glass transition and the liquid-crystal transition would be controlled by state of carrier hopping process in amorphous phase.…”
