Abstract: Increasing toughness of brittle polymer without losing modulus of elasticity and tensile strength is highly important for enlarging the range of applications. In this study, polylactic acid (PLA) modified with epoxidized linseed oil (ELO) and polypropylene‐grafted maleic anhydride (PPgMA) with a good balance of toughness and rigidity was successfully prepared by melt mixing procedure.
