Polyimides: Condensation

Abstract

Linear‐condensed polyimides as composite matrices were introduced in three parts. Polycondensation processes include three categories: imide ring formed in the polymerization process, polyimide formed by the reaction of monomers possessing imide rings, and polymerization by Diels‐Alder reaction from bismaleimide and a bisenphilics. Polyimides from isomeric dianhydrides describe the properties of the polyimides, particularly in T g , and rheologic behavior and composites using linear polyimides as the matrix resin: six types of condensation polyimides used as composite matrices were introduced.
