“…Polyethylenimine (PEI), a highly water-soluble polyamine, has gained considerable attention in the eld of wastewater remediation owing to the high affinity of its high-density of amine groups on the molecular backbone towards hydrophilic pollutants. [34][35][36] Several studies have reported that heavy metal ions can be easily adsorbed by these nitrogen containing moieties through chelation, 37,38 and anionic dyes could also be selectively attracted through electrostatic attraction.
