Abstract: Polyester coatings containing metal-organic framework (MOF) corrosion inhibitors were studied for their ability to protect carbon steel. The polyester coating was synthesized in the laboratory using microwave (MW) radiation to polycondense soy fatty acids, phthalic anhydride, and pentaerythritol-type polyols.
