Polyarteritis nodosa: ischaemic intestinal pain successfully treated with nitroglycerin

Abstract: Inflammation of medium and small sized arteries caused by polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) sometimes causes acute and life threatening ischaemic intestinal complications. We report a case of PAN presenting with severe abdominal pain successfully treated with nitroglycerin.
