Abstract:Homogeneous colloidal silicon nanoparticles (Si NPs) were synthesized at ambient temperatures. With the incorporation of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), the absolute photoluminescence quantum yield (APLQY) and photochromic stability of the fluorescent colloid (p-Si NPs) were significantly enhanced compared to Si NPs.
