Poly[tetraaquatriglutaratodicerium(III) decahydrate], a novel luminescent metal-organic framework possessing hydrophilic hexagonal channels

Abstract: A novel 2D metal-organic framework poly[tetraaquatriglutaratodicerium(III) decahydrate] with an open framework structure has been successfully grown by single gel diffusion technique. Sodium metasilicate was used for gel preparation. The structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in orthorhombic space group Pnma and possesses a structure consisting of [CeO 10 ] polyhedra and H 2 O molecules with hydrophilic hexagonal channels. The crystals were further characterized… Show more

“…2016), the asymmetric unit contains nine oxygen-atom-bridged calcium ions. In this case, the mean calcium-calcium distance is 3.62 (2) Å , with the maximum being 3.647 (1) and the minimum being 3.595 (1) Å (Nair et al, 2016). The coordination number for each calcium in this structure is eight.…”
