Poly(ether/ester)s based on poly(butylene terephthalate) and poly(ethylene glycol), 1. Poly(ether/ester)s with various polyether: polyester ratios

Abstract: A series of poly(ether/ester)s 1 based on poly(buty1ene terephthalate)*) and poly(ethy1ene glycol) is synthesized. 'H and "C nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements prove a block structure of the prepared copolymers. The DSC curves suggest the existence of a three-phase morphologytwo amorphous phases for both polyether and polyester segments, and a crystalline phase for the polyester segments.
