“…Recently, accumulated lines of evidence suggest that SP provide cardioprotection for stroke survivors and nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy patients [21,22]. Consistent with these previous findings, our results demonstrated that SP pretreatment significantly ameliorated prolongation of QTc and cardiac function in DOX-treated rats, confirming its cardioprotection property.…”

“…Silicon-bridged phenylthiophenes were faintly fluorescent in solution and in the solid state. The weak fluorescence of 5,7-dihydro-5,5,7,7-tetrakis(1-methylethyl)bis [1]benzosilolo[2,3-b:3',2'-d]thiophene (5) was attributed to intersystem crossing from S 1 to T 1 , which was confirmed by the observation of the green phosphorescence at 77 K. In contrast, indole-and benzosilole-fused dibenzosiloles 6 and 7 exhibited violet fluorescence in a microcrystalline state with excellent quantum yields. The high efficiency of solid-state violet fluorescence makes the dibenzosiloles very attractive candidates for OLED applications [56].…”

“…A benzosilole is an attractive compound due to its emission property and potential use as of optical materials [1][2][3][4]. These features are associated with the low-lying LUMOs of the siloles, which originate from orbital interaction between the σ* orbital of the silylene moiety and the π* orbital of the butadiene moiety [5].…”
