Pollutant Degradation

Abstract: To overcome the limitation of narrow photo-absorption range and high electron-hole recombination rate of pure BiOCl, a nanocomposite of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and BiOCl with highly efficient photocatalytic activity was fabricated. The photocatalytic decomposition of rhodamine B (RhB) showed that the CQDs/BiOCl nanocomposite displayed superior photocatalytic performance to pure BiOCl, which was about 3.4 times higher than that of the latter.
