Politics and Sport

Abstract: Four overlapping definitions of politics are presented (as institutions of government, social relations, decision‐making processes and outcomes) and the implications for the study of sport are examined. The implications of Lukesian and Foucauldian conceptualisations of power for the study of sport politics are discussed.
