It has always been an interesting issue deliberating the connectedness between corporation and political power. There have been a substantial number of papers in the academic literature empirically studying what so call "corporate political connections" over the last 17 years. Using 81 papers published in 2010-2017 in finance, economics, accounting, management and other journals, in this present paper, I provide a recent literature review on firm political connections particularly with respect to the empirical studies discussing the impact of being politically connected firms. A number of issues related to the effect of political connections on corporate strategy, behaviors and outcomes have been addressed. Few other papers provide different perspective by looking at the antecedents of corporate political connections and the contingency role of such connections. Little is found on the development of new measures of corporate political connections. Finally, it could be suggested that the interaction between political connections and the technological-based business innovation would be an interesting issue to study.

Введение. Вклады населения играют ключевую роль в формировании ресурсной базы коммерческих банков. От эффективности деятельности кредитных организаций по привлечению денежных средств во вклады зависят их финансовая устойчивость и ликвидность, а также полнота трансформации сбережений в инвестиции [1,2]. В этих условиях банковские инновации по привлечению вкладов населения приобретают особое значение как для самих банков, так и для их клиентов [3; 4; 5; 6; 7]. В последние годы на первый план выдвинулись проблемы фондирования и ликвидности, обусловленные ограничением возможностей внешних заимствований под воздействием экономических проблем, сужением внутренних источников пополнения ресурсной базы вследствие оттока нерезидентов, исчерпания потенциала заимствований у Банка России, а также в непоследней мере экономической стагнации. Именно средства частных клиентов оказываются важнейшим инструментом формирования пассивной базы и едва ли не единственным источником фондирования внутри страны [8].Обзор актуальных исследований и литературы. Банковский вклад является традиционным инструментом аккумуляции временно свободных денежных средств населения, применение которого обеспечивает удовлетворение многосторонних интересов разнообразных экономических субъектов: физических лиц, владельцев сбережений -в сохранении и преумножении финансовых ресурсов; банков -в формировании ресурсной базы;  экономических субъектов, испытывающих нехватку финансовых ресурсов для обеспечения хозяйственной деятельности, -в денежных средствах, привлекаемых для финансирования текущей, инвестиционной и инновационной деятельности на рынке капиталов;  государства -в вовлечении неорганизованных сбережений в кредитно-финансовую сферу и эффективном функционировании механизма трансформации сбережений населения в инвестиции [9].Специфика аккумуляции коммерческими банками денежных средств во вклады обуславливается особенностями развития сберегательных процессов как в России, так и в других странах [10; 11]. Именно сбережения населения являются ключевым источником ресурсов финансовых посредников на рынке ссудных капиталов, основой национальных накоплений, а в современных экономических условиях выступают одним из основных источников фондирования банков.Экономическая среда оказывает существенное влияние на формирование вкладов населения. В условиях экономического спада, роста безработицы, снижения курса национальной валюты, сжатия спроса и инвестиций эффективное формирование вкладов населения существенно затрудняется [12; 13]. Наблюдается изменение финансового положения населения на фоне сокращения доходов, неустойчивости сбережений, изменений на рынке труда [14; 15].Современные реалии динамики доходов населения не позволяют судить о наличии благоприятных условий формирования вкладов. “…In "Political connections, bank deposits, and formal deposit insurance," Nys et al (2015) consider the Indonesian banking industry, particularly the relationship between Indonesian banks' political connections and the ability to attract deposits. We consider this question in the context of formal deposit insurance, and while we find that deposit insurance with limited coverage may have improved market discipline in Indonesia, we also find that the issue of political connections may also be more significant, as having connected bureaucrats, politicians, and party members in a bank's hierarchy is a major factor in attracting deposits when depositors are not fully insured.…”
