“…The coherence of the BBC's strategy is assessed in relation to BBC Three, within the context of existing BBC policy and audience research published by the UK communications regulator Ofcom, and by the BBC and the BBC Trust. Taking a communications policy analysis approach (Hansen et al, 1998), a qualitative documentary analysis is employed to address the documents underpinning the BBC Trust's decision, with a range of reports published by the BBC, the BBC Trust and Ofcom analysed. The only scholarly work-to-date on BBC Three's move online -to this author's knowledge -has been Doyle's (2016) early analysis of the proposals.…”
